Create an Activity

Work activities can be created from a point and assets selected on the map.

  1. Click Create Activity on the map toolbar or select it from the Tools drop-down list.
  2. Click Point.
  3. Click New Activity.

  1. Set a point on the map.

Information about the point appears in the panel, such as the X, Y coordinates.

  1. Select the type of activity to create.

  1. Click Create.

The new work activity opens in the work management tab.

PREREQUISITES:

  • To populate the Create Activity panel, assets must be selected on the map using the Legend and Selection tools. See Legend and Selection for more information.
  1. Click Create Activity on the map toolbar or select it from the Tools drop-down list.
  2. Click Selection.
  3. Select one or multiple assets from the list.
  1. Click Next.

  1. Select the Activity Type to create.

  1. Select information for the new activity as needed.

NOTE: Select the Group Assets check box to combine the assets into one work order. Leave the Group Assets check box clear, to create a work order for each asset.

  1. Click Create.

A confirmation message appears.

  1. Click the work activity to open it in the work management tab.
